I am interested in understanding evolutionary dynamics in large populations. I use a combination of theory and data analysis to study how selection, mutation, genetic drift and recombination influence what is possible and what is typical in evolution. Recently, I have been working on understanding the evolutionary processes shaping the adaptive immune system.
